The Maritime Artisanal Fishing Development Mission | MIDEPECAM is administered by a board of directors chaired by a personality appointed by presidential decree and composed of 11 members.

Its operation

The Board of Directors meets as often as the interests of the Mission require and at least once a semester for:
To establish the budget and the activity program;
For the approval of the accounts, balance sheet and activity report.
The Board of Directors validly deliberates when at least 2/3 of its members are present or represented. Its decisions are taken by a simple majority of votes. In the event of a tie vote, that of the chairman is decisive.
The deliberations of the Board of Directors recorded in minutes signed by the Chairman and the Secretary at the meeting. Anyone called for consultation due to issues on the agenda may also attend meetings of the Board of Directors. In this case, it enjoys the advantages granted to the directors.

The Board of Directors is vested with the most extensive prerogatives for the management and functioning of the Mission. In particular, it is responsible for:
approving the annual action program, the annual activity report as well as the management account for the financial year;
voting the estimated budget of the Mission;
To enter into all agreements relating to the operation of the Mission;
To appoint and dismiss the executives on the proposal of the Director of the Mission and to set their remuneration;
To set the rate of allowances and benefits that may be granted to certain persons in charge of the Mission;
To contract loans, with the approval of the Government;
To agree and accept all gifts, bequests and gifts.
He can delegate some of his powers to the Director of the Mission.
