Our missions
As a structure specializing in the supervision of Artisanal Fishermen, MIDEPECAM has for missions :
- Construction and equipment of fishing infrastructure ;
- Supply and maintenance of fishing equipment ;
- Packaging and distribution of catches
- Provisioning for fishermen
The objective sought by MIDEPCAM in the context of the technical and logistical support it provides to artisanal fishing is :
- To increase the overall quantity and quality of proteins of fishery origin for the diet of populations ;
- Specifically improve the working conditions and the technical level of artisanal fishermen ;
- Technically increase fishing yield and the quality of catches by improving the means and methods of catching, conditioning, preserving and distributing catches.
Field activities :
As part of the execution of its mission, MIDEPECAM’s main activities are:
- Distribution of materials and accessories.
- Production and distribution of flake ice cream.
- Collection and distribution of catches.
All the actions of the structure aim to :
- Supplying the urban market through the collection and distribution of fishery products.
- Improving conservation conditions and combating post-capture losses.
- Improving catching methods and resources for sustainable fishing.
