It provides technical and material assistance to artisanal fishermen by providing them with transferred fishing equipment with ease of payment and without interest.

It also finances investments in infrastructure and extension equipment on behalf of the administration.

Its revenues come from health inspection fees for food products of animal origin, fishing licenses and permits, as well as fines and various transactions.
